How to create fast travel portals?

Apart from the standard portals mentioned above, you should know that in Diablo 2 it is also possible to create unique portals. These portals are for single use, that is, after using them once they will no longer be available.

l  The portals created or conjured only serve to teleport quickly to the nearest main camp or, from the camp itself, to the place where we have created the portal.

l  All characters can create portals, for this what you need is an item called Scroll of the city portal.

l  Once you have this Diablo 2 item in your inventory, go where you want to create a portal and use the item (holding down the “move” button by default) to open a portal in your position.

l  You can buy Akara from the beginning of the game a Tome of the city portal for only 450 gold coins (these tomes can also be found randomly around the world).

l  The City Portal Volume is highly recommended as it only occupies two spaces in the inventory and within this you can store up to a total of 20 City Portal Scrolls (so it saves you a lot of space).

l  All City Portal Scrolls that you find or purchase can be stored within a City Portal Volume and the Volume will never be consumed from your inventory, even after all the scrolls have been spent.

These portals created, even if they are only for a single use, are still very useful throughout the game because they are great for us to return immediately to the camp and save us return trips. You can also strategically place them when you arrive at a mission area in case you die, so you can return in no time and pick up where you left off.

Rune Types

How to create runes with the Horadric Cube?

Basically the runes inside the Horadric Cube can be created by combining other runes and also gems. It is a fantastic method to safely get a rune that we have been trying to obtain for a long time (since we do not depend on the randomness of the game) or to take a rune to its next level.

 

Best methods and places to farm runes

The runes in Diablo 2: Resurrected can be obtained in any difficulty level and for almost any area of the game, whether defeating enemies, killing bosses, opening chests and so on. Like all items in the game, its appearance is random, so sometimes it can be a real headache to find the rarest or just the ones we need to improve our equipment.

Luckily, there are certain methods and places that make it easier to find runes of better quality or in greater abundance, so here below we want to show you what they are so you can farm runes much more comfortably. Pay attention to the data:

l  Kill huge hordes of enemies – the simplest method of all, but also somewhat heavy. Simply dedicate yourself to visiting areas of high difficulty where there are many enemies in large numbers and kill all of them. With a little luck you will find a few runes cleaning the place.

l  In the Forgotten Tower, in the level of the Countess (Act I): it is an excellent place to find the best rare runes, many enemies in this area release them (including the boss) with high probabilities.

l  In the Arcane Sanctuary (Act II): Here you will find enemy ghosts that are more likely to release rare category runes, this location is located in the .

l  In Travincal (Act III): a highly recommended area to find some of the best runes in the game.

As we explained to you last week, Blizzard has released coded text at the bottom of the Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.5 patch notes. In recent days, the community has spared no effort to try to decode it and it seems that it has succeeded.

Of the 666 orange numbers that exist, 664 have been recovered. This required tens of thousands of clicks on the famous gem, but it did not put off the players who participated in the effort. That said, it seems that the text is a kind of summary of the history of Sanctuary and the events that took place in the different games. Thus, Vision of the Towering Heart summarizes the events before Diablo 1, while the passage talking about a child held in the depths of the earth is irretrievably reminiscent of Albrecht. We also understand the passages that address the case of primordial demons and inferior demons. It even seems that a reference is made to Hellfire in Vision of Grizzled Eyes.

Subsequently, the text speaks of a shadow that must probably be the prowler of Diablo 2. We then move on to the third episode and Reaper of Souls with references to the Black Soul Stone or Tyrael. Perhaps the text also addresses the world as it will be at the launch of Diablo 4.

Right now, it’s hard to imagine the text being anything other than a summary of Diablo’s story. It is indeed important to keep in mind that the numbers in orange seem to have existed for at least 9 to 10 months. The first screenshot of such a number dates from the end of last year, which excludes a teaser on a feature that would arrive with patch 2.6 for example. RockerdedBR posted an interesting post last night on Reddit. He goes into detail about the Shrine of Iben Fahd, and in particular about the amount of stones that can be obtained by opening the different chests.

He assumes that the sanctuary somehow deceives us in two ways. The first is that the last chest of the 4th piece is a decoy whose reward is distorted. The second is that collecting 377 aspirant keys to open all the chests is exactly the same as using those keys to open the chests of the first coin every day for a few days.

We put below the record of the number of keys and stones that contain each chest of the sanctuary. 

Is It Worth to Open All Iben Fahd’s Sanctum Chests?

We removed vault #1 from the equation because it’s a free vault and I guess we open it every day, even if you collect the 377 keys to open all the rooms at once. Because it’s free. 😛

So you can see right away that room 1 has a higher average of Stones/Key than the other rooms.

Notice how, starting in room 2, they increase the need for keys by 2 in each new chest and rewards by 9. 9/2 = 4.5 and this is how they maintain the average at 4.5 in all rooms. Each new chest costs 2 more keys and gives 9 additional stones.

1st illusion: This changes in room 4 when we move from chest 19 to chest 20. Safe 20 requires 4 additional keys instead of 2. But it gives the same number of rewards as chest 19 when it should have given 18 stones to maintain the average of 4.5 stones/key.

The fact is that these 18 stones have been removed from the chest 20 and placed in the FINAL chest in the center of the room and that is why this chest is free to be opened. To maintain the average at 4.5.

By removing these 18 stones and putting them in a chest in the center of the room, they create a mystery. What’s in the last chest? People would spend platinum just to get there and find out! And will be disappointed because this chest is nothing special. It’s just a bait.

So let’s move on to illusion n°2: We need 377 keys to open all the chests of all the rooms. And we get a total of 1704 stones by doing this.

Now, what if we used these 377 keys to open only the chests of room 1? How many times could we open ALL the chests in Room 1? And the answer is 25.13. Let’s round up to 25.

Since room 1 gives 75 stones (remember that we do not count chest 1), we multiply this figure by 25.

25 x 75 = 1875.

HA! So the n°1 coin gives more rewards than all the coins combined!

Not exactly. We forgot to add to the equation that there is a 5% chance that all chests of coins 2, 3 and 4 can give triple rewards. So, now the calculation is:

75 + 1629 x 0.95 + 1629 x 3 x 0.05 = 1866.90

So opening the 1st room 25 times gives 1875 stones. Opening all the rooms at the same time gives 1866.9. It’s pretty much the same thing. There is no need to save 377 keys just to delay the improvement of stats as well as the chance to get Iben Fahd’s Tenacity.

Update 2.0, the most substantial seen on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, was launched six months ago and brought a lot of news to the game, some of which went unnoticed. Let’s find out together what they are!

But as we well know, when there is such a substantial update, it is difficult to be able to steal all the new features that have been added, and this also applies to the update we saw last November. Ready to discover all the mechanics that have escaped us after a long time?

All these mechanics introduced and passed a bit unnoticed due to other major additions, are still important in the game and have affected some aspects of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. They are also quite interesting features to report. Let’s discover them together!

1 – Quality of Life

The first to name is an improvement to the quality of life of the game introduced with the 2.0 update and with the paid DLC Happy Home Paradise: we are quite sure that you have noticed it, especially if you are a lover of interior design!

When we open the furniture menu in our house on the island, from November 2021, it is easier to move between the various sections of furniture. In fact, by clicking the button when we have the menu of available furniture open, we can move faster between the categories available in our inventory simply by moving the right analog downwards, thus jumping from chairs to tables, from tables to beds, from beds to wardrobes and so on,  without having to scroll through each row of furniture one by one.

2 – ACNH Anniversary Cake

The second detail concerns, instead, a item that many of us know quite well and that has generated a number of discontent among fans: we are talking about the First-anniversary cake.

Released on the occasion of the first anniversary of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, after the First-anniversary cake, all fans expected a second celebratory cake on the occasion of the anniversary of the title in 2022, an item that never arrived on our islands. But why?

After the 2.0 update, the cover letter of this controversial cake has changed, and along with it its meaning has also changed: no longer the first anniversary of the game, but our first year spent on the desert island. The fourth little-known mechanic concerns, instead, a small trick to understand if we will have Celeste on our island: instead of wasting time looking for it without the guarantee of succeeding, thanks to the Pigeon House there is a method that guarantees us to know in advance if we will find it.

In fact, before its appearance on the island, Celeste will be at the counter of Coffe store from 17:00 to 19:00. If we notice it there, in short, we will be sure to be able to find it around our island from 19:00 onwards! Group stretching is also a great tactic in this regard, but it only works if Celeste is already on the island.

5 – Changes To Turkey Day Event

Even the Turkey Day has received a small update! This, as many of us may have already noticed, concerns the choice of ingredients to create the four dishes of the event, which have changed since update 2.0.

Surely this is one of the changes that have least gone unnoticed, but only if you have not skipped the Turkey Day Festival. The update should take place automatically once you connect the console to the internet and start the game, but if not, just go back to the Home of the Switch console and press the button. At this point a screen will open, where the item “Software Update” will be visible. Just click on it and the game will be updated to the current version. Also, once the game is started, the save data will be automatically updated.

We can vary the hue and intensity of the lighting in a room. The shade includes 12 different colors to choose from to give the holiday home a unique and particular shade; while the intensity will allow us to lower or raise the lighting, giving the room more or less brightness.
